Dr. Kris Nelson
Doctor Kris Nelson grew up on a cattle and swine farm in southern Minnesota. She completed her bachelors degree in biology at Luther college in 1991 and a masters degree in biology at Drake University in 1993. She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 and has practiced at the Farmington Veterinary Clinic ever since. Her special interests at the clinic include small animal medicine and surgery as well as farm animal medicine and surgery. She enjoys the friendly personal attention that Farmington veterinary clinic has to offer.
In her time away from the clinic Dr. Kris enjoys quilting, SCUBA diving, gardening and traveling. Her best friends include Dasiy an 11 year old black and white Last Hope rescue, Cricket a 2 year old yorkipoo, an old black lab Sadie and Mark a plumber and Farmington volunteer Firefighter.
Dr. Amanda Denisen
Hi, I’m Amanda Denisen. I am originally from Grand Meadow, Mn located in the southeastern part of the state between Rochester and Austin. I did my undergraduate schooling at UW-River Falls and attended the University of Minnesota for my Veterinary Medicine degree. I have a long-haired dachshund named Wilson who is a year and a half old. He keeps things interesting with his friendly and energetic personality. I enjoy exercising, camping, watching movies, and hanging out with my friends and family. I cannot wait to meet all of you at your pets next appointment!
